Gisborne Canoe and Tramping Club, Whakapunake

We will walk up the Translator Road to the southern trig of Whakapunake, initially on Pohaturoa Station, then complete the round trip by walking down the long ridge on Mahurangi Station. With about 18 km walking and 750m altitude, this is a relatively challenging day trip, especially with relatively short Spring days.
