Guerilla Botanica

For the duration of Fringe look out for the work of undercover Guerrilla artists intervening in public spaces, bringing impromptu botanical installations, sabotaging the everyday with the beautiful and extraordinary.

Guerilla Botanica are a collective of artists with significant practices in their own right, who have the common interest and goal of presenting art back to the public, beautifying spaces, and connecting art with nature in the urban domain. Questioning the notion of typical gallery spaces, Guerilla Botanica will transform your experience of inner-city Whangārei with ephemeral deeds of botanical adornment.

Displayed in various locations throughout the Whangārei central region, Guerilla Botanica create installations which intersect the territory between floral arrangement, landscape design and sculpture, creating unexpected floral signatures in public spaces.
