Safe/Sound - Local Premiere Screening

The filmmakers Mason Cade Packer (Director, Producer) and Micah Winiata (Producer) would like to invite contributing members of the Kāpiti community, as well as their friends and families, to a local premiere screening of Safe/Sound (formerly known as Prince).

When a school principal hears of an encroaching threat, an escaped convict who has been silently breaking into teenage girls' homes in the night, he becomes overprotective of one of his closest students as the supernatural trespasser comes to collect…

This 40-minute short thriller film could not have been made without the help of dozens of local businesses and individuals, and as such, the filmmakers wish to thank and celebrate the incredible contributions of those involved by hosting this free screening, generously provided by Te Raukura ki Kāpiti and Kāpiti College. In attendance will be members of the cast and crew, including producer Micah Winiata and director Mason Cade Packer, as well as students and faculty from Kāpiti College.

The film’s length is 40-minutes, and will be introduced by a short introductory thank you video, and followed by a behind-the-scenes look into the production. The expected total runtime will be approximately one hour. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the licenced venue.

Please note that this film is not yet rated. It does contain some short graphic moments of violence. The filmmakers believe it is appropriate for audience members aged 13 and up.
