Inside Out Akaroa House and Garden Tour

The wait is over!

Akaroa’s extremely popular Inside Out Akaroa House & Garden Tour is on again this November and it is bigger and better than ever with a fabulous range of houses and gardens, some never open to the public before. This is your chance to have a sneak-peek around some of the most beautiful homes and gardens in the South Island, all with their unique character and situated in stunning locations.

Held every two years, this is a not to be missed event, for anyone interested in beautiful homes and gorgeous gardens. The Inside Out Akaroa House & Garden Tour takes place over 2 days on the weekend of Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November 2024, with 16 amazing properties to discover, at your own pace, on a flexible self-drive program.

Why not plan to stay over in one of Akaroa’s cozy bed and breakfast, motels, or unique accommodation on offer and take the time to enjoy the restaurants, cafés, shops and local produce in this beautiful historic seaside village.

Gardens are open from 10AM – 5PM all weekend, and tickets are $55.

Inside Out Akaroa Garden Tour - Health & Safety Information:
• Children must be fully supervised and not permitted to explore without parents or guardians.
• On some properties are ponds, uneven surfaces and steep slopes.
• Most gardens are not suitable for wheelchair access.
• Please take care on shingle windy roads.
• A free shuttle service will provide access the Le Bons Bay properties. Please park in designated areas indicated by signs
• The event organizers accept no responsibility for injury or accident while on this Garden Tour.

• No ticket refunds.
• Please no dogs and no smoking on any properties.
