Intro to D&D - How to DM Workshops

Have you ever wanted to be a Dungeon Master, but you don't know where to begin?

Waikato Role-Playing Guild is trialing a new event for Intro to D&D - How to DM!

This series of three workshops aims to teach new DMs some tips, tricks and general philosophies for how to prepare and run your own game, some new skills for gathering and managing your table, and show you some resources you can use to make the whole hobby a lot easier to turn from an idea into a well-run game!

The set is open to anyone aged 14 or over, and will involve attendees being guided through creating adventures that they will then run in between workshops.

(Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition is being used as it is the game our instructors know best, but please note that many of the philosophies and tools introduced will apply to running other types of RPG tables)
