Iris Show

A dazzling array of irises on display in colours that will have you wondering what combinations are around the corner.

Entry is free, but you will not be able to resist buying a raffle ticket or two.

Anyone is welcome to exhibit an iris (no entry fee) they have grown in their garden. and will be eligible for one of the three section awards- bearded, non-bearded and NZ bred. The Queen of the Show is for best iris in the Show, only NZIS members are eligible for the Spicer Award. Joining the NZ Iris Society costs $30-35 and can be arranged when entering an iris for exhibition.

Plant sales tables selling irises will tempt anyone who has a spare spot in the garden. Plants will be available either bare rooted and there will also be some potted irises. Also on sale is fertilizer for growing irises, also suitable for peas, beans and strawberries- only $5 per kg.

Iris members will be available to answer any questions.
