Lemon Juice Issue 4 will be launching at the wonderful Undercurrent bookshop on Wednesday 30 October, 6pm-7.30pm!
Lemon Juice is a zine series featuring interviews, articles, and essays on poetry form and breaking the form, aiming to inspire new ways of writing that cross genres and break the rules.
The launch will include poetry readings from Cadence Chung—published poet, author of the nationally bestselling chapbook anomalia, classical musician, and one of the contributors for this next issue. You’ll also hear poetry readings from the six members of the Lemon Juice Writers Group—Billie Angus, Kayla Campbell, Raven Harvey-Lomas, Mereana Latimer, Erin Ramsay, and Aroha Witinitara. The Lemon Juice Writers Group is a free poetry workshop series that started this year, and this talented bunch have spent the past six months developing their poetry skills through workshops and writing prompts. This is a chance to hear the incredible poems they’ve been working on!
All four issues of Lemon Juice will be available to purchase, and all are welcome to come along and celebrate poetry in its many forms. There will be wine and food and lots of poetry-cheer, and the event will be MC'd by Lemon Juice creator and editor Emma Shi. Come!
