Working Without Barriers, Telling the Stories We Choose

Join us for an evening of breaking down barriers in the arts!

Three artists, three short performances, three loud voices of activism.

The perfect opportunity for theatre makers and theatre leaders to grapple with the need for accessibility at the forefront of arts - from high school drama classes to the professional stage.

But how do we ensure that accessibility is implemented without disabled artists being exploited along the way? Panellists will engage in conversation about the impact of mining lived experience, the pitfalls of performative access, and how disabled artists can excel in their craft when accessibility is an inherent part of the creative environment.

The session will conclude with audience Q&A.

Moderated by DAT Fest's Access Coordinator Lauren Hayes, with panellists Kate Hood, Helen Vivienne Fletcher, and Duncan Armstrong.
