Looking for something new to do in Matamata? Need an activity for the school holidays?

Come along and see Firth Tower in a way you’ve never seen it before!

There will be several activities happening throughout the day, including a sausage sizzle, history talk, and WWII re-enactors set up on the lawn.

Firth Tower Museum is full of interesting buildings and exhibits that you can explore at your own leisure. We'll be hosting the WWII Historical Re-enactment Society for one day only, and they'll be putting on a battle re-enactment and historical talk.

Entry is only $2 for the day (cash only), and you'll get access to all the exhibits in the museum as well as the activities. We look forward to seeing you there!

The schedule will be as follows:

1015 - Formal flag raising with Guard of Honour.
1130 - WWII history talk in the Heritage Room.
1330 - Re-enactment battle (with re-enactors set up throughout the day).
1530 - Formal flag lowering with Bugle and Ode.
