Fresh from Gold Award success at the World Choir Games, Wellington Choir Nota Bene brings you the second of their 20th anniversary concerts.
Through music, we explore light’s profound symbolic references—from enlightenment to hope, positivity, spirituality, guidance and healing.
Experience an unforgettable evening with atmospheric music including Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna and Bob Chilcott’s Canticles of Light. A highlight of the programme is Edward Elgar’s Lux Aeterna, an arrangement of the sublime Nimrod from his Enigma Variations - a stirring rendition not to be missed. We present these pieces and many more—all inspired by the meaning of light.
Set in a candlelit St James’ Church (Lower Hutt) with atmospheric lighting effects, we hope you join us for a night of music that will captivate your senses and uplift your spirit.
