Come along and learn how to make your very own Roman blind, to give your rooms an elegant and streamlined look.
Description
Roman blinds are a perennial favourite because they use a lot less fabric than the usual pencil pleated or gathered curtains - as well as making your rooms look streamlined and uncluttered.
During the four weeks you will learn how to accurately measure your window to enable you to create very own customized roman blind.
Some hardware included in course fee but a list of all other materials (fabric, etc) will be sent out to you when the course is confirmed.
Please choose a narrow window for your first project - max 150cms wide.
By the end of the course you'll be able to
Accurately measure your window
Calculate how much fabric to purchase
Measure and cut out your curtain
Use appropriate machine skills to sew your curtain fabric
Use finishing skills to apply rings and cords to your curtain
Identify appropriate method to hang Roman Blind
Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly. This course is not for beginner sewers, you must to able to use a sewing machine in a competent manner.
