Manukau Concert Band: Folklore Concert

Manukau Concert Band, in collaboration with the Orion saxophone quartet, present the Auckland leg of their Folklore concert tour.

Led by conductor Alex Eichelbaum, the Band is an award-winning group made up of musicians from all over Auckland.

This concert will include a wide range of musical stories, depicting beautiful and amazing scenes from around the world. Featuring the thrilling conclusion of Cesarini's Symphony no. 1, this also forms part of the Band's preparation for the Australian National Band Championships in 2025.

The programme will also include works performed by the talented Orion sax quartet, including a New Zealand premiere performance of Guillermo Lago's "Ciudades" for Saxophone Quartet and Concert Band.

Doors will open at approximately 6:30pm. If possible, a small koha upon entry is always greatly appreciated.
