Mellow Mix

Wander through Wellington Museum in a calm and relaxed atmosphere, check out the exhibits, and enjoy the activities on offer. Lighting and sound will be softened, and this event has limited capacity to reduce crowding, queues and noise.

Hand and face painting
A silent disco
Chill out spaces
Instax camera fun
This event is open to everyone. It may feel especially welcoming to autistic, neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive people, or anyone wanting to explore the museum in a relaxed and friendly environment. All ages welcome. Under 16-year-olds must be accompanied by a ticket-holding guardian.

Drinks and kai available for purchase. Alcohol available for those over 18 with valid ID.
