Mixed Media Drawing Workshop

This workshop will give the students the chance to combine drawing and water media techniques to build a drawing based on Water, Fall exhibition.

Water, place, and memory intertwine in the Water, Fall exhibition: sites in Auckland and Waikato hold personal meaning for artists Celia Walker and Jaqui Bennenbroek, with Bennenbroek's focus on erosion at Kariotahi and Walker's exploration of Maramarua's coal mining landscape. The broader impact of floods and climate on Tāmaki Makaurau is a catalyst for a collaborative installation by printmakers in the Hard-Pressed Collective. The installation underscores water's erosive power and the potential for a 'Sponge City', shifting from concrete to natural wetlands for a more sustainable future.
