Join us for a conference for historical societies, heritage groups and institutions, museums, iwi, hapū, marae committees, genealogists, and individuals from across New Zealand.
Topics will include protection, conservation, interpretation, fundraising, advocacy, risks, and solutions. Stories and experiences from local groups and people are wanted.

2pm Art Deco Quarter Guided Walk. Departs the Art Deco Trust, 7 Tennyson St, Napier. FREE.
4:30pm Mihi Whakatau. Welcome at the Napier War Memorial Centre.
5:000pm Drinks, Meet & Mingle.
5:30pm Hawke's Bay Heritage Awards.
7pm Closing.

Felicity Wong: Protecting Wellington’s heritage.

11am – 12pm Heritage Bites. Six presentations from groups giving their own examples of local heritage work.
12pm - 12:30pm Speakers: Protection, Planning & Scheduling, by John O’Shaughnessy. Working to protect Heritage, by Elizabeth Pishief.
12:30pm – 1pm Presentation. Where in the world is Heretaunga? by Rose Mohi.
1pm – 2pm Lunch.
2pm - 3pm Panel Discussion. Mitigating risks: Seismic, Fire, Floods by Andrew Marriott, Stacy Vallis, and Kate Hooper.
3pm - 3:45pm Presentation. Researching the places your family lived, worked, & played by Katrina Barrett (Stoneycroft), and Marilyn Wightman (Feilding & Districts Community Archive).
3:45 - 4:30pm Heritage Bites.
6:30pm Informal Dinner and Quiz.
