NZIPP - Commercial Photographer Glenn Cormier

Please join us to hear from Glenn about his varied commercial career and how he has kept his love and passion for photography alive into his semi-retirement. He said to me recently that he has never had so much fun taking photos as he is having now. I found that really inspirational. I hope to be able to say the same thing when I'm in my 70's.
We are lucky to have him in Nelson and I'm delighted that he is happy to come along and share his passion with us.

Glenn graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography in 1982 and then set up his own
commercial photography service in southern California. The first few years were tough
going, but he started to get traction with a variety of clients, shooting a wide range of
subject matter, from architecture to food and product, both on location and in the studio.
Once he was able to procure Patagonia as a client, other outdoor product manufacturers
like The North Face and Gore-Tex required his services, and he became a specialist in this
field.
The architectural work led to hotel shoots and the hospitality world.
Clients included Caesars Palace, The Four Seasons, Crystal Cruises, Starwood Hotels and many others.
He has photographed assignments in over half the states in the US and over 20 countries
around the world, and now makes his home in Nelson, New Zealand.
