OpenArts - "Now - That's Different" - Art exhibition

OpenArts Spring exhibition "Now - that's Different" - a test of our artists versatility - - we challenge them to present their 'take/impression' of our Theme - this year - "Is It Trash? No - their work will NOT be trash but how they will interpret the many facets of the topic! Not only are they challenged with this theme they are also challenged to produce works using different materials media and subject matter that they never had thought of or attempted before. The object of the exhibition is to 'challenge' to develop to step outside the square and the artists 'comfort zone! The exhibition is also not judged in the usual fashion - we have eight Peninsula businesses sponsoring a price each - but they also pick their personal favorite - this makes the exhibition even more of a Peninsula affair. Also we involve the three local harbour side schools who will have displays of their talents and their challenge topic - "A conservation Conversation - Is it a load of old Rubbish?".
This exhibition over the last four years has grown and developed into a most popular event, and with growing public interest each year it presents a fantastic example of the eclectic talents of the Peninsula artists.
