In the Adam Concert Room, a group of rowdy students, all self-obsessed and irritable, must work out how to collaborate and put their differences aside to perform scenes from some of the great works in the canon of opera – while not ruining their relationships with each other. Te Kōkī New Zealand School of Music Classical Performance students of voice, piano, harpsichord and cello bring you Part(y)ing is Such Sweet Sorrow, a collection of scenes including excerpts from Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Marriage of Figaro and Magic Flute, Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel and more. They revolve around people going out to find a good time, losing it, and in the process, falling and failing in love.
