Pasifika Family Walk

Join Pasifika families and friends on a walk along a popular Masterton trail. The recreation trails are a network of mixed-use paths that link green space throughout Masterton. They are popular with walkers, cyclists, runners, and dogs on leads. We will meet at the Colombo Road netball courts, where there is lots of parking, and then set off on the Waipoua River Trail, crossing the river using the footbridge, and returning along the opposite bank to Colombo Road, just under 2 km. The whole family is welcome to join in this lovely riverside walk!

Walk Route: Cross Colombo Road from the netball courts to follow Waipoua River Trail as far as Queen Elizabeth Park, ignore the first steep path up the bank, go under the footbridge to the path with a gentler gradient on the left, cross the footbridge, and return to Colombo Road along the opposite bank of the Waipoua River. At Colombo Road, walk a few metres to the left to access the crossing point, and walk back to the Netball Courts along the wide pedestrian path over the road bridge.
