'Pip' is a brand-new musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ much-loved novel, Great Expectations.
Written and orchestrated by a team of talented Wellington creatives, it is a fresh take on the classic story that focuses on the relationships between poor orphan Pip and the wealthy and emotionally damaged recluse Miss Havisham, her beautiful protégé Estella, and the escaped convict Magwitch. It explores the disparity between rich and poor, high and low status in Victorian England as Pip discovers – then loses – a world of privilege beyond his impoverished upbringing, thanks to the largesse of a mystery benefactor.
