The Morrinsville Art Gallery Charity Trust proudly presents one of the most important fundraising events of the year. In conjunction with our Madelines Concert event on the 9th of August 2024. We are running a Silent Auction of Art pieces many of which are generously donated by the artists themselves. This wonderful collection can be seen and bid on in our Community Gallery from now until the night of the Madeleines Concert on 9th August. Register your details at the front desk to receive a bidding number and following the instructions onsite. If you are unable to be here in person, and want to bid on any items please email your details via the gallery website. On the night of the event a select number items will be Auctioned Live. Among these will be works by Adrian Worsley, Karin Barr and Vicki Carruthers. It will also feature a painting by reknowned contemporary New Zealand artist Peata Larkin, who has donated a piece from her own collection. A very respected artist her work is held in public and private collections throughout New Zealand, and in Australia, the UK, Dubai and the USA. Noteably she was chosen to create the two massive external walls of the New Zealand International Convention Centre in Auckland. Her donated painting 'Explorer' from 2012 had an MV of $7000 well before many her more major public and large scale commissioned works were created. So we have high hopes for this very. Collectable piece.
