Learn how your photos can help save endangered species and wild places.
Join award-winning wildlife photographer, marine biologist, and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Dr Simon Pierce for this introduction to conservation photography – and discover how you can use your imagery to create positive change in the natural world.
Simon has a unique insight on this topic, having plenty of experience on both sides of the camera. He is the executive director of the Marine Megafauna Foundation, which focuses on the protection of endangered ocean wildlife, while his wildlife photography has been used to support conservation initiatives by the United Nations, multiple World Heritage areas, national governments, and many local and international conservation non-profits.
He will discuss how to find opportunities to contribute, what kind of images conservation organisations (and publishers) are looking for, and how to maximise the impact of your work. This talk is suitable for any photographer or videographer, beginner to advanced.
