Solar Fire: Shining the Light from Within Yoga Workshop

As the summer holiday season kicks off and the sun reaches its maximum on the solstice, we enter into a time of the year when we have the heat, the energy, the passion to get out and do things in the world. At the same time, this is a heart-centered time of connecting with friends and loved ones.

In this 1.5 hour session, Rita will guide you through a gentle yet energizing flow to get you more in touch with the fire within. Combining the principles of yoga and qi gong, you will be guided through exercises that put you in direct, experiential contact with the energy of your body. We move through a sequence of breath and movement that connect us to the energy that drives us forward from our bellies and from our hearts. These movements will gradually build up to a firey flying dragon sequence, and settle back down to the earth as the fires die down.

We will use these embers of our practice to ignite our well wishes for ourselves and our loved ones in a closing, heart-centered meditation.
