Bird and field recording in nature with Dr Bronwin Patrickson.

Come and try out various bird and field recording techniques at the world renown shorebird reserve in Pūkorokoro (also known as Miranda). Walking with Bronwin you will be able to try out various mic technologies, techniques and programmes.

You can book your 2hr private session with Bronwin for either 10am, 2pm, or 4pm, for a max of 2-3 people. Another session is possible on enquiry.

Shorebirds will be in their greatest numbers and best viewing towards the end of the day (high tide), and a free bird tour is available from your host on request!

You are also invited to book in for the related somatic workshop with Dr Tracey Benson at 12pm on the same day.

Artist bio:
Dr Bronwin Patrickson is a former producer of documentaries and features for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She has since gained a PhD in interactive media design and was the 2020 recipient of the IAMCR Climate Communication Award.

Recording session time options:
10am, 2pm, 4pm, 2-3 people per session. Additional session on enquiry.
