South Island Dachshund Derby

The Dachshund Derby is a fun day out for Weiner havers and lovers alike! With market stalls, a sausage sizzle and ofcourse, the highly anticipated Weiner races! It will be fun for the whole family!
There will be 3 competitions during the day.

12:30pm Bark Up
Finally, a moment your dachshund will actually be Awarded for their ear-piercingly loud bark! Best bark on command wins!

1pm
Best Dressed - Self-explanatory really. It's a day at the races so dress your sausage to impress! Points for creativity.

2pm
The moment we will all be waiting for! The Weiner Races!
Each dog must have two people, one on one end holding the dog in position, and then someone else at the end of the 30-metre line with whatever will help get them there! They can be holding treats, their favourite sock or toy, or maybe it's just their favourite person! Whatever gets your sausage to the finish line first!

There is a gold coin entry for all spectators and a $20 sign-up for the dogs on the day (or beat the queue and register online here )
