Ōtautahi Youth Business Summit – what is this event all about?

Vision: to bring young entrepreneurs together and provide space for them to grow their knowledge of the business world and get inspired by others.

We see the outcomes of this event being

Inspiration: that young people would leave feeling inspired to start their own businesses or take the next step on their business ventures

Connectedness: that young people would build connections with other entrepreneurs outside of their usual worlds who are passionate about the same things and feel more a part of the business community here in Ōtautahi

Mātauranga: that young people would leave with new knowledge of the business space and increased confidence of the next steps for their business ventures

Accessibility: through new connections with people, knowledge and resources, young people leave feeling they can pursue their business ideas without barriers


We plan to achieve these outcomes by

Having inspiring keynote speakers and workshop facilitators to hold unique and encouraging spaces for our young entrepreneurs

Providing a range of learning spaces throughout the day so that young people can learn and engage with information that is relevant to their current business space

Removing financial barriers for this event entirely so that all rangatahi can engage with our summit
