Te Kia Ora Marae Trust invites you to share a unique and wonderful experience at Gibbs Farm on Saturday 5th October 2024.

Gibbs Farm is a private farm adorned with the most magnificent, internationally renowned collection of large-scale outdoor sculptures by various world leading artist, thoughtfully curated by entrepreneur Alan Gibbs. It is also home to various exotic animals (eg: giraffes, bisons, alpacas and ostriches) surrounded by lush landscape and the glistening waters of Kaipara Harbour.

Access to all artwork is by foot so good walking shoes are necessary, with an allowance of 3-4hrs, to comfortably view all artwork. However, you can do as much or as little as you please. Full details of what to expect can be viewed in the Gibbs Farm FAQ’s link above.

Te Kia Ora Marae is one of the local marae to Gibbs Farm, which rests within our tribal boundaries of Ngāti Rango. In 2002 a fire tragically burnt the marae to the ground devastating the hapū. After 22 years of rebuilding the marae, we are now set to reopen Te Kia Ora Marae on Saturday 2nd November 2024.

We are grateful that Gibbs Farm has generously provided us this opportunity to raise funds towards our opening day. Therefore, for the first time, we are offering a unique look into the local Māori history through the oratory of our kaumatua Richard Nahi, between 12pm - 12.30pm.

This is a unique opportunity to come and enjoy a picnic with friends and family, indulge in some beautiful scenery, be enriched with local Māori history and support an amazing cause. Join us at Gibbs Farm on Saturday 5th October 2024 where Te Kia Ora Marae look forward to being able to manaaki you, your family and friends.

Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Rurunga, ki Te Kākānui a Paneira, ki Kaipara.

Ngā mihi maioha,
Te Kia Ora Marae Trust.
