Join us for a talk by NASA’s very own Dr Vandi Verma! Vandi is a JPL Principal Engineer and the Deputy Section Manager for the Mobility & Robotics section at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology. Her work with the Mars rovers Curiosity and Perseverance is widely recognised and acclaimed.
Her expertise spans space robotics, autonomous systems, and robotic operations. She has contributed to robotics and AI research and technology development and has deployed robots in diverse environments such as the Arctic, Antarctica, and the Atacama Desert. Her work encompasses all stages of robotics capabilities development, from research and development to mission design, prototyping, flight development, testing, launch, and surface operations.
