The Sands - Stage One Opening Week

Stage One of The Sands is officially opening on Tuesday 5th November and we are ready to welcome you!

Located in the heart of Pāpāmoa East, the new retail destination features a locally-owned New World, together with a large-scale Anytime Fitness gym, and a food precinct offering sushi, kebabs, pizza and much more.

Retailers will have a range of family fun activities and a number of specials over the day and weeks following the opening.

The Sands marks the fourth and largest sub-regional shopping centre for the wider Bay of Plenty. On completion, The Sands will feature retail and mixed commercial outlets, a comprehensive health hub, community facilities, home improvement centres, increased hospitality offerings, hotels and accommodation, and government services.

Access to The Sands is currently via Emerald Shores Drive (off Pāpāmoa Beach Road), Stevenson Drive (accessible via Te Okuroa Drive) or The Boulevard, with a combination of roadways, cycle and walkways, and buses all servicing the area.
