The Wellington Calling Open Mic!

Wellington's premier event venue Whisky and Wood is hosting its first ever open mic event; The Wellington Calling and we're looking for diverse acts to contribute!

The open mic event takes place Sunday September 22 at 7:30 pm.

Located in the heart of the city at 60 Cambridge terrace, Whisky and Wood exudes industrial elegance with New-York loft vibes featuring washed-brick walls, soaring high ceilings, skylights and a wooden bar area.

Each performer gets the chance to have a six- minute set with a microphone, guitar and keyboard provided.

“We want to provide a positive and encouraging environment for established and fledgling acts to shine in. Its a pretty inspiring place to perform,” says host Steven Hood.

Each performer will need to sign up in person before 7:30 pm and registrations of interest need to be emailed to openwandw@gmail.com before Sept 22.

The feature act for the inaugural show is Steven Hood, who will be releasing his new single “Deep Diving” at the event.

Entry is free but Koha is encouraged!

Light food and drinks will be available to purchase.
