What is BuHurt?
Buhurt was the tournament format in Western Europe from around 1250 to
1320. The word “Buhurt” is derived from the word “Bohourd”, which roughly
translates to “to wallop”. It consisted of 2 or more people decked out in
historically accurate medieval-style armor and armed to the teeth with
medieval-style weapons to match. The weapons, of course, are blunt to
prevent any lacerations or major damage.
Competition
The competition starts on the 20th July 2024 at 8:30am to 4:30pm.
It consists of 47 fights in total.
