Shake up your Friday evening at Tūhura after hours!

Join us for a fantastic night at Tūhura Otago Museum—perfect for unwinding after work, an after-school evening with the family, or kicking off the weekend with your crew. With everything open, including the Science Centre, Tropical Forest, Planetarium, Shop and Precinct Café, there’s something fun for everyone.

Precinct will be serving up tasty treats and drinks while The Alchemist shakes up signature cocktails to add a little magic to your evening.

Want to get creative? Decorate a tiny canvas in a Paint and Sip workshop, or try your hand at one of our ever-popular miniature embroidery sessions.

Catch a special screening of E.T. for some classic, feel-good cinema vibes, or take a walk on the wild side with our T.REX Planetarium Show and be transported to the age of dinosaurs for an adventure like no other!

One Plus One will be performing live and filling the Atrium with their incredible sound from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Our museum will be buzzing with pop-up science demos that’ll spark your curiosity, and you can explore the galleries on a “choose your own adventure” mystery tour led by our awesome museum guide, Quinn.
