See Wainuiomata Regional Park from a new perspective.

Registrations are extremely limited for this guided walk. If you have attended this event in the past, please give others a chance to visit this special area of Wainuiomata.

You'll be guided through beautiful native forest, exploring areas of the park not normally open to the public. Our knowledgeable park ranger will share the story of the Wainuiomata water collection area and describe how this water ends up in Wellington’s taps.

This is one of our most popular summer events. The walk is limited to just 40 participants. A limit of two registrations per person applies.

Please note:
This walk requires a moderate fitness level and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age.
You’re likely to get wet feet. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing.
Remember to bring your own lunch, snacks and a water bottle.

Book your place by visiting www.gw.govt.nz/summerevents

For updates about the event, including any changes or cancellations, be sure to click 'interested' on our Facebook event page. Marking yourself as 'interested' on Facebook does not book you a place on the walk.
