Wānanga Whakatō

You may have seen the beginning of new nurseries of
rākau, while walking the Te Ahu boardwalk on South
Road. If you’d like to be part of this story, come and help
us envision and create diverse habitats for our manu,
insects, mokomoko, and tāngata to enjoy. Bring your
tamariki, whānau, kaumātua, and let us share stories as
we plant as a community.
Bring your gardening gear, and a spade if you have one.
Afterwards, we’ll finish with a shared kai (bring a plate).
All are welcome, whether or not you are able to plant. We
will have a rest area with seats, mats, tea and coffee.
