West African Style Drum & Dance

Come along for a fun day of drumming and dancing at ONEONESIX in Whangarei.

Taught by Sidharth Pagad of Kra KoTo Kra and Camila Chicon of Afriky, this day of twin workshops is open to absolute beginners as well as West African style drum and/or dance aficionados. Drums are also provided for those who need them.

Sid will lead the drumming workshop from 1.00pm until 2.30pm, and Camila will lead the dance workshop (accompanied by live drumming) from 3.00pm until 4.30pm.

Sid and Camila have over a decade of experience in these art forms, and are passionate about sharing them with others, and encouraging and enabling folks to participate in music and dance rather than passively consume it.
