From the earliest days of settlement around Poneke, amazing women and their awesome achievements have been the subject of captivating stories. Don't miss this opportunity to come to the Bolton Street Cemetery and be entertained by these tales of talent, courage, charm, strength and stoicism.

This tour features surprising stories of women – settlers and Māori – who lived in Wellington and helped shape its history. There is an artist, an actress, a nurse, a teacher and a song-writer, as well as boarding house operators, shopkeepers and inspiring leaders.
This tour starts at 3.30pm from the Bolton Street Cemetery Museum, near 26 Bolton Street, and finishes back at the Museum an hour later. Bring the family and celebrate Suffrage Month.
Free for children up to the age of 12. And well-behaved dogs are welcome.
