Youth Intermediate Watercolour Class – Storm, Petone Beach

Please note this is a special class for young artists who have already done at least three beginner watercolour classes at Alfred’s gallery art school. This class will be 2 ½ hours and will start with a drawing lesson with some practice on drawing paper, Students will then draw their own scene on quality watercolouor paper. We'll then be ready to paint and the rest of the lesson we can focus on the joys of watercolour painting. We will cover watercolour techniques and brush handling in a relaxed and enjoyable, step-by-step learning procedure. All materials supplied so just turn up empty handed and leave with a completed painting and a beaming smile of creative satisfaction on your dial. Suitable for ages 7 – 17.

In this lesson we'll be painting on A3 size watercolour paper, twice as big as usual. you'll learn to use larger brushes using bigger pools of colour to create your masterpiece.
