Hutt Valley Orchestra's second concert for 2025 features music with many memorable tunes by composers from Finland to Russia.
Including the melody made famous as Stranger in Paradise, Borodin’s "Polovtsian Dances" also have much lively playing for the wind and brass sections. Following "Rhapsodies" based on folk tunes by Holst and Liszt, we feature French composer Bizet's dramatic "L’Arlésienne Suite no 2". The concert concludes with Sibelius’ much loved “Finlandia” .
