New Classics Sinfonia is proud to present its first concert of 2025, "A Musical Offering", which pays homage to one of the most inspirational and enduring eras of late Classical music, that of the 20th Century.

For this concert we put the spotlight on an era that was as focused on forging new musical pathways forward as much as it delighted in looking back to the past for inspiration and reflection. From the more retrospective and contemplative English melodic vogue of Elgar and Vaughan Williams to the sweltering rhythmic intensity of Shostakovich and Rachmaninov, come experience this unique offering.

Join us February 23rd, 5pm at St Matthew-in-the-City for a special evening, full of forgotten idyllic gems infamous and rapturous 20th century jewels, with guest soloist Italian concert pianist, Matteo Napoli.

Programme:

Elgar - Chanson de Nuit & Chanson de Matin
Shostakovich - Jazz Suite No. 2
Vaughan Williams - Fantasia on Greensleeves
Rachmaninov - Piano Concerto No. 2 with guest soloist, Matteo Napoli
