Babywearing Walk In the Waitaks

EVENT CANCELLED – IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Unfortunately due to the terrible weather forecast we’ve made the tough decision to cancel tomorrows Walk in the Waitaks event. Thanks for all your interest, and hopefully this is something we can do next year over babywearing week.

Join us for a Walk in the Waitaks on the Arataki Nature Trail hosted by Louise Tanguay – founder of Babywearing Aotearoa.

Bring your little one and your baby carrier and come enjoy the fresh air, chat and meet other parents and our team, celebrate community and of course our love for babywearing!

We’ll have qualified Babywearing Consultants joining us on the walk so if you have any questions about your carrier or need some tips on the fit we can help.

It will be lots of fun and there will be spot prizes as well as your chance to win Carifit+ Baby Carriers on the day!!

When? Friday 4 April from 10am – and will end around 11.30am

Where? Meet on the big grass area next to the Arataki Visitors Centre & Carpark, 300 Scenic Drive at 10am. We’ll look to get organised and into carriers and leave the carpark at 10.15am

What walk will we be doing? And what time?
We will meet at 10am and the walk is a short 30 minute walk on Arataki Nature Trail. It’s an easy walk and afterwards we’ll stop for a snack, play and to give out some prizes!

Note, we may only do the loop, instead of the full trail depending on how everyone is doing on the day

What should I bring?
Bring your little one, baby carrier, walking shoes, water, snacks (for you and any toddlers) and whatever other items you need for bubs!

Will there be toilets?
There are public toilets at the Arataki Visitors Centre

What if it rains?
There is no rain date for this event. If we have to cancel the event due to weather, we will update the Facebook Event with this information.

Can I bring other kids?
Of course. If you have a baby or a toddler in a carrier, and have another kid at home - they are totally welcome to come along and walk with us too!
