We're excited to introduce "Breathe, Sweat, Plunge," our new monthly workshop in collaboration with Genki Studios, the latest community sauna and ice bath studio in Grey Lynn.
1. We start with breathwork. This helps to recalibrate the mind, increase oxygen flow, and prepare your body for the physical experiences ahead. It sets a positive tone and establishes a sense of mindfulness.
2. After breathwork, we move into the communal infrared saunas. The heat from the sauna relaxes muscles, enhances blood circulation, and promotes detoxification through sweating. This phase allows your body to warm up and continues the relaxation process.
3. The ice bath plunge. This contrast to the sauna promotes recovery, reduces inflammation, and revitalizes your body. The sudden change in temperature can boost your energy and invigorate your senses.
You will have time to move through a coupe of rounds of this process in your own time.
