Caterpillars

In a magical world of flitting butterflies, jumping eggs, and giant swaying flowers, two Lycra-clad clown puppeteers try their hardest to remain unseen and at service to their puppets: two enormous plump Caterpillars. Caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, with nothing but their wits to cover up escalating blunders, the hapless puppeteers take upbeat absurdity, slapstick and silliness to new heights, but are grounded hilariously in reality. Caterpillars is a show loved by audiences throughout Europe and in Asia – and now it’s back at Altiora for the World Buskers Festival 2025!

Created and Directed by the internationally acclaimed Canterbury-lad: Thom Monckton, of the multi-award-winning: Moving Stationary, The King of Taking, Endling, and the Edinburgh Fringe 5-Star hit: The Pianist in collaboration with Kallo Collective (Finland).
