Take a normal speed dating event, add costumes and you've got yourself Costume Chemistry! We believe there's no better ice-breaker than a good costume so come along and connect with some fellow singles in a fun, casual setting. Take up the challenge to step outside your comfort zone and try something a little different. We can't wait to see you there!

Your Ticket Includes a Costume!
Visit Desiree Costume Hire anytime before the event to choose a fabulous costume to wear over your clothes during the event. We’ll help you pick the perfect costume to get into character—no full outfit change necessary, go as elaborate or as minimalist as you like. Already have a go-to getup? Feel free to wear your own!

How the Night Works:
- Arrive from 6:30 PM to check in and transform into your character before we kick off at 7:00 PM.
- Each ticket includes one free drink (non-alcoholic event; extra drinks available to purchase) and nibbles.
- Enjoy a series of 6-minute mini-dates with singles of the opposite gender. A deck of prompts will be on hand to keep the conversation flowing—no awkward silences here!
- As you meet new people, make sure to fill out your match card and note anyone you'd like to connect with again.
- Short break halfway through to stretch or chat.
- At the end, hand in your match card, and we’ll send you any mutual matches within 48 hours.

Tickets are limited and must be booked in advance—no door sales!

Refund Policy
Tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer your ticket to someone of the same gender if you can no longer attend. Please contact us ASAP to arrange.

Costume Inclusions
Your ticket includes a costume from our wardrobe for use at the event. Selection must be made in advance by visiting the store. If you can’t visit us beforehand, please email desiree@desiree.co.nz with your size and costume idea and we'll see what we can do.

Limitation of Liability
Desiree Costume Hire and event organisers are not responsible for the behaviour, intentions, or actions of Attendees. Any interactions during or after the event are at your own risk. We encourage caution and good judgement when engaging with others. Desiree Costume Hire accepts no liability for any loss, injury, damage, or misconduct resulting from interactions with individuals you meet through this event.

Respectful Conduct
We endeavour to create a safe and respectful environment for everyone. We ask that all Attendees treat one another and staff with respect and consideration. Disrespectful or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the event, with no refund. Respect is essential to maintaining a positive experience for everyone!

Event Changes
In the rare case of cancellation, we’ll contact ticket holders directly.

Photography & Media
Event photography and video may be used for promotional purposes. Please notify staff if you prefer not to be included.

Waitlist
Tickets are capped to ensure a balanced experience. Waitlist entries will be contacted in sign-up order if spots open up. Waitlist does not guarantee entry.

Privacy Policy
Contact information is collected for this event in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. It will only be used for event communication and to facilitate the match process. We respect your privacy and will never share your data with third parties or with other Attendees without your consent.
