Hear stories about the gaolers, lawyers and policemen who were dealing with the city's criminal elements, as well as some of the villains and murderers that shocked earlier generations in Wellington. Find out about the duelling pistol that was involved in the deaths of a lawyer and a magistrate; and about an unsolved murder on a quiet farm road. There’s even a criminal or two.
This tour starts at 2.00pm from the Bolton Street Cemetery Museum, Lower Bolton Street, and finishes back at the Museum at about 3.30pm.
Children aged 12 and under are free; well-behaved dogs, on leads, are welcome.
