Gua Sha is a natural, alternative Taoist wellness therapy that uses a smooth-edged tool to massage the skin, stimulating microcirculation and boosting blood flow. This relaxing and restorative technique helps release tension and encourages healing by unlocking stagnation. However, it’s more than just a massage! You’ll learn how different areas of your face correspond to organs in your body, helping you support deeper healing and overall wellness.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
What Gua Sha is
The many benefits Gua Sha offers
How to perform a facial Gua Sha
You’ll leave feeling empowered with the skills to heal yourself at home.
If you already own a gua sha tool, feel free to bring it along! If not, don’t worry—we’ll provide tools for use during the workshop. We’ll also introduce a variety of alternative tools, perfect if you’re exploring Gua Sha for the first time and unsure about investing in a specific tool.

Meet Jinfeng, your host
As a Taoist practitioner with a strong academic background, Dr. Jinfeng Huang is practicing Great Awakening Zen to sharpen her practitioner's senses. As the only practitioner of Mr. Li's Copper Tiger Tally Gua Sha (Lishi Tongbian Hufu Gua Sha) in New Zealand, she also has inherited many qualites from her great-grandfather and father also Taoist practitioners.
