UPDATE:
We have had a ruff day here at Council and are sorry to advise that Dogs in Togs that was to be held on Wednesday has had to be cancelled. There is unfortunately Parvo in the region, so we have made the tough call to cancel this event and help keep our doggos safe.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and look forward to when we can safely host this event.
Kind regards

The always popular Dogs in Togs returns to Carterton Pool on Wednesday 19th March 2025.
It's been a pawsome summer swim season and our dogs have been waiting for their invite to their favourite day of the year.
Whether your dog is small (under 10 kg) or medium to large (over 10 kg) we have a session they will enjoy. There will be 2 sessions based on size (of dog, not of their bark) so register your dog and come along. Even if you don't have a dog, spectators are welcome. Please register so we have ruff numbers.
You can bring toys and flotation devices such as rubber ducks, and if your pup has pool attire then they are welcome to wear it, although dogs in actual togs is not a requirement.
Each dog needs one person, so if you have more than one dog please bring the same amount of friends
Dogs need to arrive on a lead
Dogs must be registered with the Council, displaying their dog tag
Please bring poo bags with you - in case of over excitement
As there will be multiple dogs at this event your dog needs to sociable and be able to safely mix with people and other dogs
You may want to get into the pool to assist your dog with their swimming or to help them get out when they don't want to leave.
What better way to give your dog a treat! You and your dog will be friends fur-ever
Numbers will be capped.
Registrations will close Tuesday 18th March 9am.
