In this class, we’ll focus on the art of landscape drawing, guiding you through various exercises to help loosen up your drawing technique and view the natural world from fresh perspectives. You’ll learn how to capture the essence of a landscape with expressive mark-making and collage while exploring composition, depth, and texture.

Perfect for both beginners and seasoned artists, this class will inspire you to see and interpret landscapes in new and exciting ways.

About Emma Peers:
A Scottish-born artist, Emma emigrated to New Zealand in 2006 after studying at the Glasgow School of Art. Her art is largely focused on portraiture and figurative painting, but she also draws inspiration from the landscapes of Central Otago, incorporating their textures and colours into her work. Emma's paintings explore emotion, with recent works focusing on mark-making and manipulating form to evoke a strong sense of feminine expression.

This workshop targets a range of learning abilities.

No art experience is required.
All ages are welcome; only those above 18 YO will be served wine.

Time: 1-4pm, 23 February 2025
