You are warmly invited to a screening of Feierabend - Three friends, one fridge, many questions, a new animated series from the makers of Lifeswap. The series was commissioned by the Goethe-Institut Germany. Following the screening, William Connor and Steffen Kreft will give insights into their work in an artist talk.
Cantika, Klara and Pedro have recently started living together in a shared flat. Cantika and Klara already know each other from their IT training, Pedro is an architect and is still new to Germany. They have moved into an empty flat, but with every episode it gets cosier and the flatmates quickly become friends. The three of them meet in the shared kitchen at the end of the day and talk about their experiences in Germany: some things are still unknown and surprising, often funny things happen and sometimes there are difficulties. Cantika, Klara and Pedro support each other with challenges and celebrate their successes together - and the fridge door fills up with notes, photos, tips and memories.
Designed for newcomers to Germany, the series explores the challenges and excitement of settling in. With simple German dialogues and English subtitles, it is easily accessible to non-native speakers. Developed in collaboration with Indonesian and Brazilian immigrants, Feierabend offers an authentic and relatable story, fostering lightheartedness and cultural understanding.
