Creating with clay using your hands is a remarkable experience. This beginner course, led by Tanja, introduces participants to pinching, coiling, and slapping techniques, transforming a sticky lump into stunning art or useful items.

In the first three weeks, you'll explore each method and different types of local clay. By week four, revisit a project or start fresh. Past participants loved the calm, creative environment, support for imagination, and therapeutic clay work.

Tanja will fire and glaze your creations over several weeks. The course fee includes all classes, firing, and glazing. No previous experience is needed. Dress accordingly!

Limited to 10 participants. $60 total per participant. Bookings close Tuesday, 11th February at 2pm. Book here: https://www.riverside.org.nz/event-details/foundational-clay-pottery-hand-building

This workshop is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja (at education@riverside.org.nz) for workshop questions or to ask about sponsorship options.
