Generative AI - Intro to Using Artificial Intelligence

AI can all seem a bit overwhelming. AI is a tool and just like any other tool, you need to know how to use it well to get the most out of it. ChatGPT is the most commonly mentioned form of AI and we will look at generating text using this tool and also using other AI tools beyond text creation.

Learning to use AI effectively and efficiently can open up a new world of support and speed up a large number of tasks. In this two-part course we dive into AI and its applications. Spend a few hours to learn AI so you can save many hours in the future!

Note: All computer courses are run in the school computer labs and you are required to use the school desktops for the duration of the course (you are not able to use your own laptop). Some of the courses may require you to login onto the network.

By the end of the course, you’ll:

- Be able to explain how AI can enhance creative projects, including image and music generation, as well as the enhancement of visual content through AI-powered image editing tools

- Be able to use simple AI image editing tools, enabling you to engage in creative endeavours without extensive technical knowledge

- Explore and experiment with various parameters and observe how AI responds to different inputs.
